MOUNTAIN LEADER AWARD

If you want to lead groups in the mountains in the UK this qualification course is the industry standard. It allows you to take groups into mountainous terrain. On the six day mountain leader award training you will be taught navigation, expedition and leadership skills giving you an overview of outdoor leadership. There is also an overnight camp.

Inbetween training and assessment there is a period of consolidation. Before you go for assessment you are expected to have completed at least 40 mountain days in the UK in a minimum of 3 different mountain areas.

The five day course Mountain Leader Award assessment, assesses you in all the skills required for Mountain Leadership. There will be an two night expedition.

Before you book onto a Mountain Leader training course, make sure you have registered on the scheme with Mountain Training.

PLEASE NOTE: Your Mountain Adventure will be running our Mountain Leader courses in the future. Please contact Charlie on info@yourmountainadventure.com or https://www.yourmountainadventure.com/products/mountain-leader-award to book in on any of the Mountain Leader courses.
